“Growing up, I drew inspiration from seeing up close how a great family lawyer could help people through difficult times. I’m doing my best to honor that tradition.”
Lawyer, Associate
Meredith Johnstone joined Walther Family Law PC in August 2013. Her prior experience included three years in Human Resources at The Bell Group and, after graduating from UNM Law, three years at Peter H. Johnstone, PC.
At Johnstone, Meredith represented clients in divorce and custody cases, handled probate, guardianships and conservatorships, and advised clients on employment issues.
Meredith holds an MBA in addition to her law degree, giving her a unique perspective on family law issues and an enhanced capacity to deal with the financial aspects of complex divorces.
At Walther Family Law PC, Meredith believes her negotiation and human resource skills sets are assets, especially in collaborative divorce cases. Although Ms. Johnstone’s experience has taught her to work well in adversarial situations, Meredith is convinced that the collaborative approaches are less emotionally scarring and ultimately, more efficient.
